18 Months old!

So I've missed a couple of months of blogging, things have been rather busy around here.  Allie turned 18 months old a month ago and I actually typed some of this back then, and I'm just now getting around to submitting.  I promise to get back on the blogging wagon!

Here are just a couple pics I took of Allie for her 18 month impromptu photoshoot in our backyard :).

She is so much fun right now, and cuter than ever.  She loves music and LOVES to dance.   Her and Daddy have dance parties every day when he gets home from work and I think it's definitely her favorite time of day.   She's talking non-stop now, though you can't quite make out what she's saying unless you speak mandarin. I don't know if I want her to speak real sentences though, it's much cuter this way.

She will say "I love you" (ah uv ew), "thank you" (tank ku), "one, two, three" (un, two, free), "Allie" (Ah-yee), and a few others I can't think of right now.

I think we finally have our last tooth for awhile, thank Jesus.  I'm still waiting for the slobbering to disappear though, it's worse now than ever.  By the end of the day she looks like she's been shot with a super soaker.  It drives me crazy but doesn't seem to bother her at all.

She loves her baby dolls and taking care of them.  She feeds them, rocks them, gives them hugs and kisses, and pushes them around the house in their strollers.  She loves playing in her kitchen and cooking for you.  She loves having tea parties.  If she's having a breakdown all you have to say is "can you get mommy some tea?" and she'll take off running to her kitchen to get you a cup of tea.  She loves to help me around the house and always tries to copy what I'm doing.  She'll help me clean, move things around, cook, sweep the floors, etc.   She's starting to mock everything we do so we have to be careful now.

A few weeks ago we discovered Yo Gabba Gabba, aka 'baby crack.'   I'm pretty sure the writers of that show were smoking a little something when they created it, but it seems to put Allie in a complete trance.  She will lay down on "Ellie" (her large stuffed elephant she got for Christmas from her cousin's Shelly & Lily) and stare at the tv without flinching.   It's amazing, that's the only thing in the world that will keep her still.  And then when they sing she'll get up and dance with them.  Cutest. Thing. Ever.

We started going to My Gym at the end of January with our friends Chelsie and Avery and Allie absolutely loves it.  She's shy at first (as she always is around large groups or new people), but once she warms up, she runs all over the room from one piece of equipment to the next.

We are having so much fun watching her grow and explore and learn new things.  I wish she would stay this age forever, we're just loving every minute of it.  I wish I could freeze time for a little while.  I hope she stays this sweet and innocent for a long time but I have a bad feeling we're on a down hill slope towards the terrible two's (fingers crossed that we can bypass that stage!).
