Hilton Head 2012

Two days after Allie's birthday, we headed off to Hilton Head Island, SC for a family vacation.  Jeff had to go to Savannah, GA for work so we decided to make a trip out of it.   We had planned on only staying 4 nights, but we were having such a good time that we kept adding nights on as the trip went by and we ended up staying 7 nights!!  It was just the three of us and we had SO much fun, it was the best vacation I've had in a long time.

Allie was seriously having the time of her life!  She would wake up every day squealing with excitement and she'd stay at the beach with us all day long with hardly any fussing.  She'd stay up at night until 10:30 or 11 dancing on the bed and showing off her new standing and dancing skills.  It was so much fun watching her having a blast and loving the ocean and the sand.

One of my best friends was there with her family so we got to spend some time with them as well which was a lot of fun.

Testing the waters

She wasn't a fan when Daddy let go of her

She wasn't sure what to think about the sand.  I think she ended up eating a lot of it.  You don't want to know how I know this...TMI.

Allie & Cameron

She loved the live music everywhere we went

more live music

This is her showing off her new standing skills

She kept walking her stroller up and down the beach.

And if that picture doesn't have you smiling from ear to ear, check out her video.

 And more pictures...

My little swimsuit model, watch out Heidi Klum.

Uh oh, kisses from a boy!

And this is where we learned of Allie's love for dancing on the stage (the music is right there in front of her).  It's cute now, but concerns me a little about the future.

This is her new hand on the chest move when she's really feeling the music.

And she also learned how to climb the stairs really well while we were there.  She's pretty good at it...and quick.   But we're still working on learning how to get back down (which she's also doing surprisingly well at teaching herself...mostly by trial and error...and of course with my close supervision).
